Wear Back Ni-Hard Elbows

To supplement our range of pneumatic conveying equipment, Carolina Conveying offers a range of heavy duty, robust Ni-Hard wear-back elbows exclusively for the abrasive product field.4x90 Ni-Hard Elbow202

The Wearback Elbow is ideal for pneumatic conveying applications handling abrasive products and is suitable for both dilute and dense phase pneumatic conveying systems. All elbows are flanged to ASA 150# pattern, having overall dimensions in accordance with the dimension table.

The majority of wear occurs around the outside radius of the elbows, hence the wear-back can be replaced to extend the life of the elbow. The wear-back may be replaced with the elbow in position, eliminating the longer shutdown associated with normal long radius elbows. The wear-back is also interchangeable between the 45 and 90 versions with only a slight variation in contour, allowing a single spare to be held in stock.

4x45 Ni-Hard Elbow

Standard Features

  • Cast Ni-Hard for long life
  • Increased thickness around wear-back
  • 45 and 90 versions available
  • Wear-back interchangeable
  • Wear-back replaceable with elbow in place
  • Ground wear-back mating faces eliminates gasket
  • Short radius to minimize weight

Dense Phase Conveying

Blo Bin02The Blo-Bin Dense Phase Conveyor operates on high pressure compressed air with low air to material ratios for powder and granular products, using standard plant air at 80 to 100 psig. The Blo-Bin is of robust, simple design with few moving parts for reliable, consistent operation; making the unit ideal for conveying abrasive materials. Three basic tank designs are available: conical, eccentric and dumpy. All tanks are constructed and tested to meet ASME specifications for pressure tanks. Convey rates up to 50tph are achieved, dependent upon distance and powder being handled.

The standard inlet chute is used to direct material from the feed hopper to the inlet opening at the top of the tank. The baffle inside the chute reduces the head load of material against the closing cone inside the tank. The dome shaped cone inside the tank is pneumatically operated, and automatically lifts and seals against the inlet gasket for a dust tight seal. The batch size is controlled by either a level probe inside the tank or a cycle timer in the control panel.

Standard Blo-Bin Features

  • Few moving parts for simple operation and low maintenance
  • Pneumatic and electrical control panel, prepiped and wired for automatic operation
  • Carbon or stainless steel construction
