Carolina Conveyings Side Entry Rotary Airlock is designed for handling pellets, chips and other larger particle size products to minimize shearing and pinching off the product; and are used extensively in the plastics industry. The offset inlet throat delivers product on the upswing of the rotor. The V-shaped throat minimizes the pinch point between the rotor edge and body as the rotor rotates into the housing. Rotor vanes are also beveled allowing the product to escape if caught.
